A very friendly reminder that your Registration and Club Fees are due NOW to Brisbane Basketball at Auchenflower. Failure to pay means that your team will forfeit its game - please don't let that happen.

CLUB INFORMATION FOR 2008
TEAMS FOR 2008

In 2008, the Uni Reds are nominating teams in:

The Greater Brisbane League (GBL)- Men's and Women's (senior and U/23)?- Wednesday nights at Auchenflower Stadium

Brisbane Basketball (BBI) senior competition - Men's and Women's - Tuesday or Thursday nights at Auchenflower Stadium and possibly an additional team on Monday night

TRAINING

We run training sessions for our teams at the UQ Sport Indoor Sports Pavilion and Connell Gym:

Sundays 5.30pm - 7pm:

oBBI teams (Mens and Womens) ?

Sundays 7pm - 8.30pm:

oMen's GBL Silver

Mondays 7.30pm - 9.00pm

oMen's GBL Gold and U/23

Mondays 6.00pm - 7.30pm (Connell Gym)

o Womens' GBL Gold and U/23

COSTS

With the introduction of VSU, we do not receive funding from the University any more. That means we have to meet our costs from membership fees and assistance from sponsors.

If you want to play in a University team, you MUST be a Club member.

The costs facing members in 2008 are:

Club membership (covers training court time and uniforms)

o$50 for students

o$75 for non-students

BBI registration (injury insurance) required to play at Auchenflower

o$91 (in 2006)

Game fees:

Approx $8 per game per player
